About
Built for the people who
actually train.
Most fitness apps are graveyards of features. We start with workouts that actually work — strength sets and reps, GPS routes, watch sessions that don't crash — and build the social and coaching layers on top of that foundation.
Mission
Free training for athletes. Real income for the trainers, creators, and gyms who teach them.
The Athlete tier is fully free, forever. Track every workout, pair to Apple Watch, follow programs, see your training history. No paywalls on the basics.
The premium tiers — Trainer, Creator, Gym — pay a small monthly fee for the authoring tools, and then keep 85% of every dollar their subscribers pay them. Stripe Connect handles payouts. FYT's 15% covers Stripe processing and platform.
Philosophy
Privacy first. Health data stays in HealthKit. We don't resell metrics to insurance companies, and we don't ship third-party ad SDKs. Your body data is your body data.
Watch parity. If it's in the phone app, it should work on the watch. We ship Apple Watch as a first-class surface, not a complication.
Coach economics. Other platforms take 30%, hide the math, and own the relationship with your subscribers. We take 15%, show the receipts, and the subscriber list is yours.
No dark patterns. Cancel anytime. No retention pop-ups. No fake countdown timers. If the product is good enough, you'll come back.
Founder Note
I built FYT because the apps I was using kept getting worse.
I was using Strava to log runs, Hevy to log lifts, TrainHeroic to run programs someone else wrote, Instagram to see what my coach was posting that week. Four apps. Same person. Same training week. Nothing talked to anything else.
The people who write the workouts other people do — coaches, gyms, creators — were even worse off. Selling PDFs on Instagram. Collecting Venmo for gym dues. Losing 30% of their take-home to a marketplace that owned the relationship with their own subscribers.
None of that is anyone's fault — no single company set out to fragment fitness. It just happened, one specialized tool at a time. I wanted the training log, the social layer, and the coach's business to live in one place. I wanted the athlete's record to be theirs, forever. And I wanted the coach who wrote today's workout to be named on it.
If you train, FYT is for you. If you coach, FYT works for you. That's the whole pitch.
