Privacy Policy

FYT Social LLC ("FYT," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware limited liability company that operates the FYT Social mobile app, the companion Apple Watch app, and the website at fytsocial.app (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — name, email address, username, profile photo, bio, location (city / state), and the tier you sign up under (athlete, creator, trainer, or gym).
• Training data — workouts you log, including exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration, route data from GPS activities, heart rate, calories, and other biometrics. This is the core data the Service is designed to store.
• Health data — if you grant Apple HealthKit permissions, we read workout records, heart rate, active energy, distance, and step counts to enrich your training logs. We may also write workouts you record in FYT back to HealthKit so they appear in Apple Health. Health data is treated as sensitive personal information (see "Health data" below).
• Location data — precise GPS coordinates during GPS-tracked activities (runs, cycling, hikes, etc.). Location is requested only when you start a GPS activity and is used to draw your route, calculate pace, and display the activity on your profile or feed.
• User-generated content — posts, comments, messages, photos, videos, and program / workout templates you create. Content you mark public is visible to other users; content you mark private is visible only to you (and, where applicable, to your trainer, gym, or paying subscribers).
• Subscription and payment information — the subscription tier you hold and your purchase history. Card numbers, bank details, and other payment credentials are processed by Apple (for in-app purchases) and Stripe (for subscriber-to-creator payments) and are never stored by FYT.
• Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, push-notification token, crash reports, and anonymized product-analytics events (which screens you visit, which features you use).

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Sync your training data across your iPhone, Apple Watch, and the fytsocial.app web companion.
• Display your content to other users in the ways you select (public feed, subscribers only, specific groups, or private).
• Authenticate your account, send transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, billing receipts), and deliver push notifications you have opted into.
• Process subscriptions and route payments to the correct party (FYT for first-party subscriptions, third-party creators for creator subscriptions).
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, spam, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, lawful subpoenas, consumer-protection requirements).
• Send occasional product announcements you may opt out of at any time via your account settings.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not run advertising or use your data for cross-app tracking.

Apple Health and HealthKit data are subject to additional protections. We will never sell, share with advertisers, or use for advertising purposes any data obtained through HealthKit. We do not use HealthKit data for any purpose other than fitness and health tracking within the Service. We do not access HealthKit data without your explicit permission, which you grant the first time you start a workout that requires it. You may revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.

We share data only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary:

• Service providers — Supabase (database + authentication), Apple (App Store, push notifications, HealthKit), Stripe (creator payments), Anthropic (the workout-scanner OCR feature, which sends photographs of workouts you choose to scan to Claude AI for parsing into structured data), Vercel (web hosting), and Expo (mobile build + over-the-air updates). Each vendor has contractual obligations to keep your data secure and use it only to provide their service to us.
• Other users — the data you choose to make public (your profile, public posts, public workouts) is visible to other FYT users. The data you make private remains private.
• Trainers, gyms, and creators you subscribe to or affiliate with — your trainer can see workouts you complete that they programmed, plus aggregate compliance metrics. Your gym can see your membership status and class attendance. Creators you subscribe to can see your handle and subscription status.
• Legal and safety — if compelled by valid legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FYT, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all FYT assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified before such a transfer takes effect.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete your account at any time from the mobile app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing support@fytsocial.app. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, workouts, and direct messages within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records). Public content that has been re-posted or shared by other users may persist in those contexts.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your account and the data tied to it.
• Export your training data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing (where required by applicable law).
• Opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe link in any such email.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@fytsocial.app. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) gives you additional rights, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete that information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. FYT does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your California rights, email support@fytsocial.app with the subject line "California Privacy Request."

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection. Our legal basis for processing is (a) the performance of our contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and (c) your consent, where applicable. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, email support@fytsocial.app.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@fytsocial.app and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls on our database, row-level security policies that restrict each user to their own data, and routine review of our security posture. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page and notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect.
